Sleepover

Becky and her family came to visit for a week in August. Whenever they come Simon and I do a nieces/nephew sleepover with the older kids (my rule is 3 and older + potty trained). Kylie, Jeffrey, and Maddie were a part of it this year. My goal is to spoil them like crazy (haha!). I always look forward to this and was so excited. This year we went to the Nickelcade, McDonald's and the playhouse for dinner, picked out a movie at Wal-Mart (they decided on the movie Home), and a treat from WinCo. Then we came back to our apartment... they each had a present waiting for them and we set up sleeping backs for the movie. They loved the movie (I thought it was a bit boring) and then we had a little dance party after. Finally they were ready for bed and fell asleep in a second.

The next morning we picked up some delicious cinnamon rolls from Shirley's Bakery and headed to mom and dad's so Simon and I could make everyone breakfast. It was so fun. I loved every second of it. Family is the best!

Mom's Bday and Salt Lake

We celebrated my mom's birthday the first week of August while everyone (But Joe and Natalie) were here. Oh speaking of Joe, if you didn't know, he got married! We haven't met her, but they are coming to visit for Thanksgiving. We can't wait. Back to mom's bday... I made a delicious snickers/brownie trifle at her request.

I took a few days off work while Becky and her family were here. We went up to Salt Lake one day at went to the Discovery Children's Museum in SLC. It was a child's paradise! The kids had a lot of fun. After the museum we had a picnic lunch and then went to the splash pad at the Gateway Mall.

Work Summer Party

Every Summer my company puts on an awesome summer party. We have a huge grassy field next to the current building we are in, but we recently bought the building next door that has some amazing gardens behind it. They did an outside party with carnival like things to do. They had BBQ for dinner, cotton candy lined trees, face painting, balloon animals, pony rides, lots of inflatable toys, rock walls, petting zoo, and two carnival rides, among many other things. I brought my whole family and it was a lot of fun.

Jeffrey wanted to go down this big slide by himself, but ended up getting scared at the top so Jeff had to go up and rescue him. He took Eve with him and all 3 of them went down together.
